Welcome to Dolmøy Gjestebrygge

On outer Hitra lies Dolmøy Gjestebrygge (Dolmøy Guest Jetty), a paradise where the jetty is in the midst of the realm of the fish. In this area the sun hardly sets in the summer. There are sheltered inlets and fjords to retreat to in bad weather, and it is not far to Frøyfjorden which separates Hitra from the neighbouring island of Frøya.

Hitra, with 4000 inhabitants on 680 square kilometres, is Norway’s largest island south of Lofoten. As there have been a number of record catches here in recent years, Hitra has become one of the most popular sea fishing areas in Europe. There are also over 700 fishing lakes on the island, and many possibilities to experience Norwegian nature both on land and at sea. Hitra is also famous for its 2500 red deer.

The Guest Jetty consists of seven attractive apartments and seven traditional fisherman’s cabins of various sizes, all with a sea view, terrace and fully equipped kitchen. We can also offer our guests a cozy pub in maritime style, communal areas which include a wood-fired steam bath, sauna, showers and a grilling area. And we have a compressor to fill diving cylinders and a drying cupboard. You can also hire or purchase fishing tackle and bait. With the ocean on your doorstep with hundreds of islands large and small, you have all you need for an adventure holiday. The fish are found at 20-100 metres and bite readily. Other possible adventures are a sea fishing trip or sea safari in idyllic Dolmsundet.
